Santa Barbara County is very pleased with Burke Steel Building’s idea of placing a lightweight steel warehouse building on an otherwise unusable site located over an abandoned landfill. Burke’s design includes a “floating” post-tensioned slab with a light weight and flexible pre-engineered metal building that is ideally suited for the poor soil conditions of the site. Burke estimates that had the County submitted the building for LEED evaluation it may have achieved a LEED Silver level certification.

As Vice President of the construction division,
Mr. Burke provided design and construction oversight for an administrative
and medical records storage addition to existing, operational
outpatient cancer treatment center.

Tri City Medical Center - Oceanside
As Vice President of Construction Mr. Burke
provided oversight for the design, permitting and construction
of the installation of two major pieces of medical imaging equipment
in the existing imaging center at Tri City Medical Center. The
project included installation of a Siemens Bi-place Cath Lab and
Single Plane Angio X-Ray equipment.

Treatment Lab - Los Angeles
As Vice President of Construction Mr. Burke provided oversight
for the design, permitting and construction of this project which
included remodeling and converting existing patient sleeping rooms
on the 7th floor of the Hospital Tower into a new Cath Lab. The
project included a major increase in the air conditioning capacity
for the space.

As Vice President of the construction
division, Mr. Burke provided design and construction oversight services
to convert an existing Auto Club office building to a new medical
office facility with minor x-ray imaging equipment.

Long Beach Cancer Center
Long Beach Cancer Center
Builder: Healthcare Environments, Inc.
As Vice President of Construction, Mr. Burke prepared and submitted
the competitive bid against three other General Contractors and
was successful in winning the bid. Mr. Burke then oversaw the
construction of this complex new building that included a vault
for a new Siemens Mevatron linear accelerator.

Mercy Hospital Medical Center Medical Office
Building - Bakersfield
Mr. Burke provided project management and
direct on site supervision for this five story medical office
building consisting of 35 condominium doctors office suites. The
project included complete ground-up construction of a masonry
and pre-cast building with complete tenant improvements for approximately
60,000 sqft of medical office space.

provided construction oversight for the home office of a national
cable TV service provider. Project was constructed on the 10th
floor of high-rise office structure in downtown Westwood.
